Laguna Gloria Wedding Elopement | Austin Intimate Weddings
Austin is pretty much known for it’s lovely spring weather. But every once in a while, mother nature doesn’t cooperate and you end up with rain on your wedding day. Allison & Larry took it all in stride, and even *embraced* the rain for their beautiful and intimate wedding day at Laguna Gloria. Since their elopement was only two people, the bride and groom helped each other get ready, from zipping up the bride’s gorgeous strapless dress, so helping the groom perfect his tie knot. Spike Gillespie performed their sweet ceremony in the checker board tiled solarium glowing in the overcast afternoon light.
Afterwards, we grabbed their cool clear umbrellas and wandered the romantic property and garden grounds. Our first stop was at the wishing well, where the couple dropped in their coins and the same time and made a wish together. Then we headed down some of the beautiful nature trails for photos and Larry was quite the gentleman – picking Allison up over puddles when her dress started to get dirty! Finally, a white stretch limo arrived to pick them up for their wedding night dinner at Jeffrey’s, making for a pretty perfect and picturesque wedding day after all.
