This Palm Springs Mid-Century themed 50th birthday was the bee’s knees! It took place at a private residence, or pad as they would say, that was transformed from something right out of the Brady Bunch’s wildest dreams from Brock & Co Events. Their colorful and creative event design was far-out, Daddy-O! And with our experience in luxury events, we’re the perfect photographers to call for luxury birthday party event photography!

Retro 50th Birthday Party

The tented outdoor bar featured a background of lemons and citrus, while serving cocktails in stunning vintage glassware. It was complete with a 50s themed cocktail menu featuring drinks such as “Steady Freddy” and “Lounge Lizard.” In addition, cocktail waitresses dressed in hip palm leaf jumpers floated among the guests offering candy cigarettes. No detail was forgotten, down to the little cocktail napkins that read “50 Mid Century Marge,” of course in quintessential 50s colors!

Strand lights strung over the pool created the perfect party atmosphere. Plus, killer mid-century modern tables and outside furniture took the theme over the top. There was even a white fur outdoor rug with pouf seating! Additionally, the tables and chairs, couches and pouf balls, and ottomans provided plenty of comfortable places for guests to sit around sipping cocktails and gabbing about the latest buzz.

Guests really got into the mid-century theme by dressing the part as well! With big, retro sunglasses, clothing boasting bold colors and patterns, and even 50s hair-dos, it was a gas! Later into the night, groovy tunes could be heard from DJ Lucy Wrubel. She had a killer stage setup and kept everyone on the dance floor cuttin’ a rug well into the night. Everyone loved dancing to the 50s tunes! I’d have to say that this party exuded exactly the new and different that the 50s architecture aimed at being. Happy mid-century, Marge!
