Everything about this extraordinary Camp Lucy Texas wedding was filled with meaning, beauty, and love. The wedding design was absolutely flawless, but the intent behind it all was even more heartwarming. This was a wedding day I will never forget!

Unforgettable Rustic Romance: Celebrating Love at Camp Lucy, Texas

Rachel and Stefan have had quite the journey leading up to their marriage, so their wedding day was infused with sweet moments and notes to remind them of just how special their relationship is. We took a short, scenic drive to Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs, Texas. Since it was a summer wedding in Texas, they held the ceremony inside Ian’s Chape. The illuminated space made it feel intimate and sacred. The restored 19^th-century French Colonial chapel features an antique bell from Vietnam. The lighting in the rafters is just stunning!

Before the ceremony, Rachel asked Stefan’s son to deliver a note to him at the end of the aisle. It said, “I’ve prayed my whole life for you.” They had so many amazing family moments before the ceremony – certainly not just your average posed family portraits. Stefan had his two kids by his side, and I love the photo of Rachel’s mother holding her veil. A piece of her mother’s dress was sewn into the veil as a sweet gesture and homage to her parents’ marriage.

Special Touches for a Special Day

And there were so many fun, personalized touches. Dad’s socks said, “Special Socks for a special walk.” And Rachel gave her sister a hanky that said, “No ugly crying.” The silver serving platters at the reception bars were all family heirloom pieces and provided yet another personalized touch to the big day. They even included special details for the kids: a table with a balloon runner and colored pencils with coloring books! You can really tell this couple cared a lot about their guests and wanted everyone to feel special.

One of the most memorable moments was watching Rachel’s dad read a note she had written to him alone in the chapel, which made it even more emotional as they saw each other for the first time. Father-daughter moments get me every time!

After their sweet “I do’s,” everyone headed over to the reception hall to celebrate. The hall was exquisitely decorated with chic white florals and extensive greenery designed by Brock & Co Events. I’m sure you’ll agree; this bride is absolute magic in front of the camera. I enjoyed every minute of photographing these two! After sunset photos, they lay in the grass. As they looked into the sky, they felt like the bride’s recently-passed grandma was looking down on them. After a delicious dinner and lively dancing with the Love & Happiness Band, the couple exited via a New Orleans tradition. They were the second line behind the horn players. Then, they did a sparkler exit to a golf cart to top it off. It was the best of both worlds!

This day could not have been any more perfect (and I think I’ll need to restock the tissues in my bag). Congratulations, y’all!
