This Sacred Oaks at Camp Lucy wedding was like a wedding photographer’s dream come true! After shooting their  colorful Austin engagement photos, I knew the wedding day would take the cake. Planned by the inventive Simplifiers event planners, with a talented and creative couple, this wedding day did not disappoint. The giant light-up initial letters were the perfect dusk accompaniment for this glowy modern wedding portrait. The bride and groom started off their day with a first look, full of tears and a secret surprise present for Vu (think boudiour album)! He couldn’t help but cry when he saw his wife-to-be for the first time. I can almost feel their love jumping off the page as I go back and look at these portraits! The hilarious groomsmen even made an appearance to play a practical joke on the couple, complete with sharpie tattoos and missing shirts. Then came the sweet ceremony, where the couple’s little chihuahua accompanied a ring bearer down the aisle and the guests were given cheer flags with little bells for the couple’s exit. After a few more tears (yes, that’s the bride giving the grom a tissue there) and lots of smiles, the couple exited to great applause! The reception started off with a bang of dances & slideshows, and then moved into table-by-table games and challenges from Jen & Vu’s friends and family. Talk about entertainment! Guests enjoyed a fabulous dinner, followed by a big ole dance party and fun in the photo booth. I loved the very original glow stick exit as well! Big congratulations and thank you for allowing me to photograph your wedding day!
