Urban Rooftop Brazos Hall Wedding in Downtown Austin, Texas
This wedding had SO many beautiful personalized touches. Every time I thought I had a seen it all, another fantastic little detail would pop up. I love how they truly made their wedding day a celebration of their unique relationship and the family and friends who love them.
About this sweet couple and their special day
Christine and Keith live in NYC, but their families are from Austin, so it was a destination wedding for most guests. A huge group of their closest friends came to celebrate, support, and experience a little bit of Texas charm and tradition.
For the perfect blend of rustic Texas style and modern Austin vibe, they chose to do an urban rooftop ceremony at a gorgeous downtown venue and the reception at a traditional dance hall. The Austin skyline was the perfect backdrop for these lovers of culture and travel, and the vibrant green ivy wall provided a stunning pop of color.
The bride wore fun two-piece dress that looked absolutely amazing on her and her very own fragrance! Christine made special perfume during her abroad travels called “Les Fleurs de Cristine,” and she’s waited months to wear it for the first time on her wedding day! The groom personalized his attire as well – initials on his sleeves and their wedding date embroidered under collar. Meanwhile, the bridesmaids wore subtle floral dresses with soft pastel shades of yellow, green, cream and pink.
I needed a box of Kleenex for the first look with the bride and her father. He wore a cute tie with “I Loved Your First” and childhood photo of the two of them embroidered on the back.
The bride and groom’s first look was so moving! I loved how emotional the groom was. He cried at their first look, and then again when seeing the ceremony site for the first time. The look on his face as she walks down the aisle says it all.
The yellow and pink florals and fun succulents really brought everything to life. “The Timkos” cutout hung in the background. For a New York touch, yellow taxi cab seat assignments honored their New York life in addition to the NYC skyline projected over the bar. Christine even surprised Keith with a Popeyes friend chicken layer on his groom’s cake—he was thrilled!
We loved working with this family! Congratulations, Christine and Keith!
