This summer photo session was a good one. It’s hotter than you can imagine here in Texas, but this family still wanted to get their family photos taken, so I said, “Let’s go!” To keep everyone looking fresh, we starting inside with the glorious A/C. If you need some inspiration for a lifestyle family shoot from this Austin family photographer, check this one out, because they were so much fun! With very few posed shots due to the ages of their children (2 & 4), I simply tagged along giving direction and snapping all of their hilarious moments as they made faces, played, and twirled around the living room.

Just when I thought there couldn’t possibly be any more energy or giggles left in their little bodies, these two adorable sisters went outside for some sprinkler fun. Cue Round #2 of the laughter. Add in lots of bubbles and cool popsicles, and the summer heat had nothing on this party! I loved their matching swimsuits. These pictures remind me of my own childhood and what summertime is all about. I’m so glad they took the time, even in the middle of summer, to capture these sweet years. We all know they don’t stay little long, and they’ll be into their next adventurous stage in the blink of an eye.

These two loving parents are wonderful at living in the moment and cherishing every minute with their sweet girls. I love all the real moments from this session – with a two and four-year-old, there is never a still or dull moment. All photos are full of action and real life: sibling hugs, an elbow injury, eating ice off the floor – whatever it may be, they’re all living their best life.  Thanks for the fun, friends!
