Kala & Ryan were looking for an Austin wedding venue that mirrored their elegant and un-stuffy wedding style. They instantly fell in love with the Austin Lake Travis wedding venue Villa Del Lago! It’s no surprise they immediately booked their Villa Del Lago wedding considering the gorgeous villa’s architecture, lush landscaping and lake views.

The groom and groomsmen got ready at the modern downtown Austin Hotel Van Zandt, while the bride and bridesmaids got ready at a nearby rental property that could accommodate their family and loved ones as well. Kala’s veil was lovingly handmade by her mother, with hundred of sequins hand sewn on… talk about a seriously special gift! Kala also had an extra special wedding dress that featured a bustier top with a detachable skirt, so she surprised Ryan with a skirt change after their sweet lakeside wedding ceremony. She went fun & flowy just in time for dancing! :) But that wasn’t the ONLY surprise of the day! Kala also surprised the groom with a wedding videographer, and Kala’s parents surprised her with professional lighting by Ilios and a celebratory wedding fireworks display (talk about romantic!!!). These fireworks photos are some of my favorites EVER! It was hard keeping all the surprises straight, but Pearl Events did an amazing job with pulling off every last amazing detail of the night!

The couple incorporated a bold black and white stripe into the table runner, floral ribbon details, and fancy sitting area, which also tied into their wedding invitation design. Simon Lee Bakery did a stunning job with the black and white striped cake, with an artistic ombre gold middle layer. The fuchsia, pink & white floral arrangements by Bouquets of Austin were the perfect pop of color, both on the table and in the bride’s arms. After a delicious dinner by Crave Catering (aren’t their popsicle shots just the best for a hot Austin day?), the couple was toasted and then dancing began courtesy of the awesome Texas Pro DJs! Eventually the party wound down as the couple exited in a flurry of rose petals. Big congratulations on your Villa Del Lago wedding, Kala & Ryan!
