Maya & Danny’s goal for their Cedar Bend Events wedding was for it to feel like everyone was at an intimate backyard party, surrounded by their loved ones and best friends! Maya’s mom and bridesmaids were especially emotional seeing Maya in her dress for the first time. The photo of her mom breaking down while getting her hair and make-up on is EVERYTHING. These are the photojournalistic photos and moments we live to capture. We lucked out with the most beautiful purple flowers during the couple’s first look (look at Danny’s expression – priceless!), which perfectly matched Maya’s bouquet and purple hair highlights. After a lively hora where both Maya & Danny were thrust into chairs bopping up and down in the open sky, Maya’s brother serenaded the couple with some of his hip-hop tunes, while all their friends sang along and danced. And I loved their non-traditional choices for catering and dessert – Tarka & Amy’s Ice Cream! So original & yummy!
