Colorful Spring Canyonwood Ridge Wedding

The Saturday of Memorial Day weekend was such a spectacular day to celebrate Julie-Anne & Dan’s wedding! With 3 venues over 16 hours, we were able to truly tell an epic photographic tale of the unfolding day of happiness. Pearl Events executed a truly perfect day for the couple, with lots of unique and personalized touches. We started with hair and make-up by Adore in two suites at the JW Marriott, where the ladies enjoyed getting primped, and brunching on gigantic cinnamon rolls from Upper Crust and mimosas.

Julie-Anne & Dan swapped gifts during the morning, and Dan’s journal of their wedding journey left Julie-Anne in tears. Meanwhile Dan hung out with his groomsmen, and rocked out his new cowboy boots! The bridal bouquet was wrapped in lace from Julie-Anne’s mother’s wedding gown, which was a sweet homage to her family. After a morning wedding at St. Louis King of France, we all took a short lunch break and Julie-Anne’s hair got changed to an updo.

Then we hopped on a shuttle for some couple’s photos in downtown Austin at the Texas State Capitol, then out to Dripping Springs for an incredible party at the new Canyonwood Ridge wedding venue. We were able to do some fun photos with the bridal party, plus some of the couple holding their own parents wedding photos. Julie-Ann & Dan’s favors were favorite Austin landmark coasters, and also acted as their table guides.

The reception tables were decked out with gorgeous bright blooms from Bouquets of Austin, with menus by The Inviting Pear atop glittery gold-trimmed chargers. Royal Fig made custom apps in the themes of Texas and Ohio (their home states), as well as a play on the Trailer Park Trashy taco from Torchy’s for their late night snack. Guests had their choice of the delicious Sweet Treats Bakery cake, or Tiny Pies.… mmmm!

The super talented Dallas wedding band The Jam Wows, combined with Ilios’ lights, made for some fun and colorful dance floor photos that I love! Near the end of the dancing, the band performed “What A Difference A Day Makes” as confetti floated around the couple’s heads and the guests all formed a large circle around them! After the final dance, the newlyweds exited to a sea of rainbow glow sticks. Big congratulations Julie-Anne & Dan on a dream come true Canyonwood Ridge wedding! See their wedding feature on Confetti Daydreams!
