I had the pleasure of getting to know this lovely bride back in 2010 when I photographed her brother’s wedding, and couldn’t be any more excited to head off to Washington DC for this gorgeous historic wedding venue, Morven Park. We started out the day at Lansdowne Resort where everyone got ready together, before we headed off to this classy Morven Park wedding. The sprawling 1,000 acre park features a historic shady oak where the couple said their vows, as well as a stunning hillside southern plantation-style mansion where the reception took place. The whole park was so lush and green for July, and we loved wandering through the gorgeous gardens for photos! As the sun went down on the hillside, the mansion lit up with cobalt blue lights, and the guests feasted on a delicious dinner, complete with an incredible dessert bar featuring yummy cupcakes in flavors like bananas foster and churro! Everyone danced the night away, until it was time for the couples final dance and exit. Planned to perfection by Simplicity Events, this wedding was pure perfection in every way!
