Addison Grove is already a drop-dead gorgeous Dripping Spring wedding venue, with its hill country vibes and modern farmhouse reception hall. Then, when you add a stunning wedding couple and the exquisite design and planning of Brock and Co. Events, this luxury wedding is out of this world! The Knot Texas magazine agreed and featured this wedding in their Spring/Summer 2019 issue! The couple used shades of blues, charcoals, and greens for their wedding day color palette. There was a preconception among the couple’s California friends and family (that hadn’t been to Austin before) that it would be desert, tumbleweeds, and cowboys – but the venue and florals were luscious and green, and they wanted a colorscape that would complement that.

A Wedding Fit for Texas Queen

The bride wore a Monique Lhuillier cowl neck slip gown. The dress had two layers: a silky charmeuse slip dress and a delicate, lace-trimmed mesh overlay. The slip dress had slim spaghetti straps and a scalloped neckline, with a plunging back. She bought another dress prior to this one but decided to order this one after it went on sale “just to see”… Well, the rest is history, and clearly, this was the perfect dress for her! Her six bridesmaids wore charcoal blue dresses from Show Me Your Mumu, with her maid of honor standing out in a blue floral dress!

The Jewish wedding ceremony took place inside the modern farmhouse nestled on the sprawling Addison Grove property. The white, minimalist chuppah was at the back of the barn and followed with the theme of green pastel foliage along the sides and top. To personalize the space even more, Leah & Julian had Unique Designs & Events create breathtaking draping along both sides of the interior roof and walls, which came down when it was time to party inside after dinner!

The dinner was outside in the grove of live oaks. Leah wanted an intimate dinner party feeling where guests could get to know each other, so they opted for dinner in the field with string lights and round tables. Each place setting had a beautiful blue thistle on the menu atop the plate, and organically gorgeous floral centerpieces by Botanical No. 9 wowed the guests as they sat down. I love fun touches like artichokes in arrangement!

Dinner & Dessert Under the Texas Stars at Addison Grove Austin

The bride and groom chose to have the meal family style to facilitate the dinner party vibe and encourage people to chat and get to know their neighbors around the round tables. Contigo Catering‘s short rib entree was a hit with guests. They also provided a late-night dessert of churros with chocolate and dulce de leche dipping sauces, along with the midnight snack of chicken and waffles. Both were devoured quickly! The minimal iced naked cake was both beautiful and delicious, with three layers and two flavors of lemon cake and white cake with a mixed berry chardonnay filling! Polkadots always does an amazing job perfectly complimenting the style and vibe of the wedding.

We had nods to the bride’s Chinese heritage and the groom’s Jewish background throughout the ceremony and festivities. The Summit Lion Dance Team came out after dark to dance for all the guests and celebrate! Matchmaker and DJ Dan Gentile traded off turns entertaining all the guests with dance hit after dance hit.
