Lane & Greg’s intimate summer wedding took place at one of my favorite boutique hotels in Austin, the incomparably hip Hotel Saint Cecilia. The ceremony was on the front lawn in front of Suite One, and the reception took place in the courtyard behind back Suite Four. As the sun started to set, officiant Spike Gillespie tied the knot for the couple in a ring of flower petals under the giant shady live oak tree. An amazing gluten-free dinner was served family style by local farm-to-table caterers Royal Fig that had everyone cleaning their plates. Favors of Lane & Greg’s favorite orange anise marmalade were placed as favors at each place setting. The long rectangular wooden tables were accented with shabby chic lacy napkins and an assortment of flowers in all shades of yellow – and the DIY flower arrangements were done by the groom’s sister! The reception music was provided by a soulful local accordion player, as homage to Lane’s late grandfather who also played the accordion. Once the sun when down, we ventured to the infamous hotel pool to shoot Lane and Greg with the gigantic red neon SOUL sign. You could tell how much the couple is loved, as multiple friends and family members toasted them and retold old times and funny stories for everyone to enjoy. Then the couple enjoyed a spontaneous last dance and cheering exit to punctuate the perfect ending to the night! Something to Celebrate planned the whole shindig to perfection and everyone involved really enjoyed the close knit feeling of their special day. Big congratulations Lane & Greg!!!
