Gold Flushmount Heirloom Wedding Album

While I already offer a gorgeous grey/silver leather album material, I am happy to announce that I now offer a brand new GOLD LEATHER option, too! I can’t help it, but I love metallics so much! This material has a little shimmer to it, and really adds a touch of class to your wedding album. This sample album for Pearl Events also features spine imprinting in a modern black font. In fact, a new trend I’ve been noticing among my couples it to do a spine imprint instead of a cover marquee image. Or both! But the imprinting definitely adds an extra touch of personalization. The cover features 3 images from 3 different weddings, but yours could feature three of your favorite images… kinda handy when you just can’t decide on one favorite! :) Each page inside is printed on Kodak’s Supra Endura photo luster paper with UV coating.  Panoramic printing of this archival flushmount album means the layout is scored and folded so the image goes right over the middle gutter and you don’t lose any of the image. This is truly an album to last a lifetime!

Austin Fashion Week :: Mash-up Team Photos

You may not know this, but I actually started my photography career as an editorial and commercial photographer in Austin! In fact, I’ve won 4 Golden Boot awards over the last 3 years at Austin Fashion Week. It’s fun to keep creative with the fashion side of my photography, and truly inspires a lot of my edgier bridal portraits and wedding sessions.

In addition to the individual competitions, mash up teams compete for a golden boot as well! Mash up teams are comprised of at least a Photographer, Hair Stylist, Makeup Artist, Apparel Designer and Model. Some teams also have a Jewelry Designer, Accessories Designer and Wardrobe Stylist. But the basic idea is that each team comes together to create a singular concept for one stunning image. We incorporated bulb lights (we wrapped the model head to toe) and cans of fake smoke for a moody background. Below are some of my favorites… which one is YOUR favorite???

And please do me a favor – CLICK HERE to take 5 seconds vote for me now! Voting closes at NOON on FRIDAY, AUGUST 8th! The winner will be announced at the Austin Fashion Awards on August 18 at Austin Music Hall, where you can also see these team images come to life, as we recreate this images and the models strut it on the runway!

  • Pam Brackett - Beautiful work, Cory!

  • Geoff Duncan - That first shot is so cool!

  • Daniel Torralva - Quality work. I’m sure your worth every penny.

HO HO HO… MERRY CHRISTMAS from Cory Ryan Photography!

Have you ever dressed up in a Santa costume with your significant other and ran around Austin taking self-portraits? I gotta tell you, it was a BLAST (and they might be lying when they say “one size fits all”)! We certianly got the car honks to prove other people enjoyed watching us as well. :) From my family to yours, I sincerely wish you all the happiness and success in the world!

This year’s holiday card is extra special to us, as our 13 year old beagle Jaipur, passed away the day after these were taken.  Jaipur was truly the sweetest, kindest, most loving dog I’ve ever had the honor of knowing and he will be missed so much! Cheers to Jaipur and sweet puppies everywhere – these photos will be cherished forever! XOXO, Cory

And here’s the final holiday postcard I sent out! I found a cool shimmery paper for them to be printed on for just the right amount of holiday “bling”!

Behind The Scenes with Cory Ryan {Eye Candy Photography}

It’s not everyday you can get a chance to “meet” me without really meeting me! 512Unscriptedaccompanied me several weeks ago on a fashion shoot with my commercial business Eye Candy Photography. Co-hostDeborah Toodledid a fun interview with me at the studio space, and even came out to see my band Hollywood Gossip play and shoot footage during SXSW. While I know most of you are on the blog because you are interested in wedding photography or portraits, I thought this would at least give you a little peek into me and my world! PLUS, who says you can’t treat your bridal portrait session like a real studio fashion shoot? Put yourself in the model’s shoes and let’s create some amazing photos of you in your wedding dress!!!
