I’ve been looking forward to Sidni & Jay’s wedding for months now! We had a blast shooting their unique engagement session at Deep Eddy Cabaret last fall, and I knew their wedding would be every bit as fun. In fact, they were one of the few first couple’s to score an awesome new wedding venue in Horseshoe Bay, TX called Escondido! It was every bit as gorgeous as I had imagined and unfolded into a magical fairy tale day that I couldn’t have even imagined. After a small hiccup that included the bride feeling ill the morning of the wedding, Sidni was the essence of strength, and pulled through just in time for the wedding! Sidni is not only a sweet and magnetic personality, but she is also as beautiful as they come, inside and out. But that hiccup also meant we got to hang out with all the bridesmaids and shoot some fun photos of Jay and his family instead! Note Jay’s super awesome wedding gift from Sidni – fishing reel cuff links! And to top it off, boutineers for the guys with fly fishing lures in them – I love original and personalized ideas like this!! Even the bridesmaid’s gifts were personalized, beautiful brown leather cowboy books with the girls initials stamped into the leather! But Sidni wasn’t left out, luckily, and receive her own personal pair from Jay, too. :) After the party moved over to the Hacienda for the big reception, the couple was in for yet another surprise… right after the dances, everyone was treated to a spectacular surprise firework show behind the stage. Before the dance party wound down, guests were also chowed down on the yummy late-night trailer eats of the Hat Creek Burgers. Then the couple had a spectactular sparkler exit with even more fireworks lining the path of the white limo as they drove off!

As I write this in December, I am reflecting on what a whirl-wind year 2011 has been. But from the very beginning of the year, I’ve had a blast getting to know Meredith and Travis! In the spring, we shot their unforgettably unique baseball themed engagement session, then at the end of the summer we shot Meredith’s home-spun backyard bridal portraits. Finally November 12th came, and we shot a full day in San Antonio, TX starting with their ceremony at the gorgeous University United Methodist Church and the reception at the plush The Club at Sonterra country club. Meredith’s 11 day old niece stole the show upon arrival, but her black lab Shooter and cute family pug’s were a really close second. Cuteness overload is a great way to start off the wedding day, I tell ya! :) But hilarity also ensued, starting with Travis’ dads mis-matched socks, conga lines, and not ending until the Michael Jackson impersonator had a dance-off with the groom! So sit back and enjoy some of my favorites from this love and laugh filled day, from some of the best San Antonio wedding photographers!

I am so glad we were able to be apart of the special day.
Meredith & Travis finally tied the knot yesterday in San Antonio, TX (yay!), which means I can finally reveal her bridal session to you (yay!)! Meredith is a natural stunner as you can see, and she had her dress handmade by a local seamstress, complete with lacy shoulder straps and custom belt sash. We took a little trek down to San Antonio to shoot these bridal portraits in her parent’s lush backyard gardens. I especially love it that she picked a place that had special meaning to her. We even got a few sweet shots of her in the swing she used to swing in when she was younger… so cute! We continued on to the neighborhood club house to snag some gorgeous architectural shots with it’s stone pillars. Mom Cheryl even helped out with veil flinging duty – it was a super fun family affair and I can’t wait to show the wedding photos soon!

Wow Cory, Stunning as usual! You are fabulous and one of a kind!
I couldn’t have been any more excited once Rayen & Geoff’s wedding day finally rolled around. Rayen is naturally absolutely gorgeous, so I couldn’t wait to see what she would look like in her wedding dress. Geoff is both hilaroius and a perfect gentleman at the same time, and stood absolutely beaming at his first glimpse of Rayen walking down the aisle. The ceremony & reception both took place at the Clubs of Cordillera Ranch, which Geoff’s father was a member of.
Shades of pink, gold & cream decorated their bouquets and stunning decor. I love when a reception has such amazing lighting – it really lends a lot of drama to the photos! The couple was smart enough to schedule their ceremony right before sunset, so we were able to capture some amazing shots with the sun going down in rainbows of amazing colors. Half way through the ceremony, Rayen even changed into a shorter party dress so she could get busy on the dance floor. And I’ve never been toasted before in front of an entire wedding by a wedding couple – what an honor and a surprise – and thank you so much Geoff! The couple also hosted a Mexican themed photo booth, complete with sombreros & maracas (and the many tequila shots I witnessed)! :)

Alana - Hi I was just curious where you had ordered the customized cowboy boots from? I’m trying to find some for my wedding but I’m having no luck
