Luxury Fall Addison Grove Wedding in Dripping Springs

Addison Grove is already a drop dead gorgeous Dripping Spring wedding venue, with it’s hill country vibes and modern farmhouse. Then when you add a stunning couple and the exquisite design and planning of Brock and Co. Events (now Tres Events), then what is you get is out of this world! The Knot Texas magazine agrees and has this wedding featured in their latest issue Spring/Summer 2019 out on shelves now! The couple used shades of blues, charcoals and greens for their wedding day color palette. There was a preconception among the couple’s California friends and family (that hadn’t been to Austin before) that it would be desert, tumbleweed and cowboys – but the venue and florals were luscious and green and they wanted a colorscape that would complement that.

Leah wore a Monique Lhuillier cowl neck slip gown. The dress had two layers: a silky charmeuse slip dress and a delicate, lace-trimmed mesh overlay. The slip dress had slim spaghetti straps and a scalloped neckline, with a plunging back. She had actually bought another dress prior to this one, but decided to order this one after it went on sale “just to see”… ha ha ha, well the rest is history and clearly this is the perfect dress for her! Her 6 bridesmaids wore charcoal blue dresses from Show Me Your Mumu, with her maid of honor standing out in a blue floral dress!

The ceremony took place inside of the modern farmhouse within the Addison Grove complex. The white, minimalist chuppah was at the back of the barn and followed with the theme of green pastel foliage along the sides and top. To ensure the space stayed personal, Leah & Julian had Unique Designs & Events create breathtaking draping along both sides of the interior roof and walls, which came down when it was time to party inside after dinner! The dinner was outside in the grove of Live Oaks. Leah wanted an intimate dinner party feeling where guests could get to know each other, which is why they opted for dinner in the field with string lights and round tables. Each place setting had a beautiful blue thistle on the menu atop the plate, and organically gorgeous floral centerpieces by Botanical No. 9 (now Tres Events) wowed the guest as they sat down. I love fun touches like artichokes in arrangement!

The bride and groom chose to have the meal family style to facilitate the dinner party vibe, and encourage people to chat and get to know their neighbors around the round tables. Contigo Catering‘s short rib entree was a hit with guests, and they also provided a late night dessert of churros with chocolate and dulce de leche dipping sauces, along with the midnight snack of chicken and waffles. Both were devoured quickly! The minimal iced naked cake was both beautiful and delicious, with 3 layers and 2 flavors of lemon cake and white cake with a mixed berry chardonnay filling! Polkadots always does an amazing job perfectly complimenting the style and vibe of the wedding.

We had nods to Leah’s Chinese, and Leah and Julian’s Jewish backgrounds throughout the ceremony and festivities. The Summit Lion Dance Team came out after dark to dance for all the guests and celebrate! Matchmaker and DJ Dan Gentile traded off turns entertaining all the guests with dance hit after dance hit. Check out The Knot Texas out on stands now for even more details and photos!

Floral Fall Springdale Farm Wedding Austin :: Carrie & Andrew

Today’s featured Springdale Farm wedding took place in the heart of East Austin on a gorgeous fall day! Carrie & Andrew met while working at Austin Pets Alive, so the animal-lover in their hearts brought them together. The bride and her bridesmaids got ready in a super stylish on-site Airstream trailer. The bridesmaids wore navy dresses with huge orange and green florals, which looked so amazing matched with the greens of the garden and the creative Petals Ink bouquets. Carrie’s effortless style was the perfect compliment to the boho farm vibe, and I just adore how Andrew looks at her. After their sweet vows under the ceremony oak, the couple posed for photos with the “Best Dog” Hemingway (one of the couple’s three dogs, actually!). You can tell by all the adorable photos that this pooch is very loved! Everyone dined and toasted the couple under the farm trees at long tables encircling the dance tent. Eden East, known for their delicious farm to table dinners, catered with food from the farm they got married at! For dessert, the couple chose their favorite tiramisu from Enoteca Vespaio, as well as giant A & C initial donuts for some color and fun! DJ Bryan Olivas brought the reception home with a big ole dance party till the end! Huge congrats Carrie & Andrew!

Austin Same Sex Wedding at Modern Wedding Venue Prospect House

Cody & Brandon met at an outdoor summer music series beloved by all Austinites called Blues on the Green. And as they say… the rest is history. The couple’s Austin same sex wedding at modern wedding venue Prospect House was total spring wedding perfection! Event planning by Platinum Wedding and Events made the day run smoothly and beautifully. The grooms helped each other get dressed, topping of their suits with colorful handkerchiefs, matching rainbow socks and succulent boutonnieres. As guests arrived by shuttle, they were greeted by a delicious Antonelli’s Cheese Shop platter… yum!

On the most beautiful spring day, each groom was walked down the aisle by both of their parents. The modern white frame with hill country views served as the simple ceremony backdrop. When the guys first met, they also bonded over the fact they both loved the Sofia Coppola Blanc de Blancs Mini champagne cans. So obviously, that had to be featured for guests at the reception!

As music lovers, the couple made sure to pick a super fun band for the reception, The Nightowls. Cody & Brandon danced to the classily romantic “At Last” by Etta James for their first dance. The band kept the dance floor packed all night, with the exception of a quick mini-donut exchange courtesy of the adorable hot pink Little Lucy’s mini-donuts trailer. The last dance “Shout” played by the band had everyone in a dance party frenzy. What an incredible wedding! Huge congratulations Cody & Brandon!

Brazos Hall Wedding On Deck in Downtown Austin TX

Molly & Ben’s colorful and modern rooftop wedding took place in the heart of downtown Austin at Brazos Hall. This Brazos Hall wedding was planned to perfection by the fabulous Pearl Events, and was as fun and effervescent as the couple themselves! The bride and groom got ready separately with their family and wedding parties in nearby lofts, then met up for a first look on the downtown streets below. I love the expression on both of their faces when they get to see each other for the first time – pure joy! After tying the knot on the outdoor deck overlooking downtown, the couple had a group cheers with their loved ones before getting the reception started! Bouquets of Austin nailed the gorgeous decor with bright and bold blooms hanging from the ceiling in geometric gold containers. Suspended florals always make stunning wedding decor! Paired with pops of gold sequined tablecloths and a gold cake by Sweet Treets with gold twinkle light backdrop by Ilios, the interior of Brazos Hall was decked to the nines. Love and Happiness band kicked off the high energy party, and even got the bride and groom onstage for a little dance performance before their sparkler exit! Huge congratulations Molly & Ben!

Allan House Winter Wedding Under a Clear Tent :: Lindsay & Ben

This modern and romantic Jewish Allan House winter wedding coordinated by 36th Street Events took place under the gorgeous clear patio tent with twinkle lights galore! Before guests arrived, Lindsay and her sister planned a surprise first look for their father. Her sister pretended to pin his boutonniere outside, while Lindsay snuck up on him from behind wearing her dress! In these heart stopping photos, her sweet father tears up and the family collapses into a family hug. Then the fun-loving bride and groom took couple’s portraits around the Allan House property and downtown areas, before their Ketubah signing (yes, with more tears!). The ceremony took place outside on the Allan House patio beneath a beautiful clear tent and thousands of white twinkle lights (also seen on their invitation) and giant lit up chandeliers. After their official kiss at the end of the ceremony, the maid of honor and best man fired white flower petal cannons off, and rose petals floated through the air before their recessional. Greenbelt DJ got the dances off to a quick start, complete with a Dirty Dancing lift fake-off (have I mentioned we just love our clients with a sense of humor?!). For their picture perfect exit, Lindsay & Ben opted for fun and colorful glow stick light wands, which make for some super fun photos!
