Brazos Hall Wedding On Deck in Downtown Austin TX

Molly & Ben’s colorful and modern rooftop wedding took place in the heart of downtown Austin at Brazos Hall. This Brazos Hall wedding was planned to perfection by the fabulous Pearl Events, and was as fun and effervescent as the couple themselves! The bride and groom got ready separately with their family and wedding parties in nearby lofts, then met up for a first look on the downtown streets below. I love the expression on both of their faces when they get to see each other for the first time – pure joy! After tying the knot on the outdoor deck overlooking downtown, the couple had a group cheers with their loved ones before getting the reception started! Bouquets of Austin nailed the gorgeous decor with bright and bold blooms hanging from the ceiling in geometric gold containers. Suspended florals always make stunning wedding decor! Paired with pops of gold sequined tablecloths and a gold cake by Sweet Treets with gold twinkle light backdrop by Ilios, the interior of Brazos Hall was decked to the nines. Love and Happiness band kicked off the high energy party, and even got the bride and groom onstage for a little dance performance before their sparkler exit! Huge congratulations Molly & Ben!

Allan House Winter Wedding Under a Clear Tent :: Lindsay & Ben

This modern and romantic Jewish Allan House winter wedding coordinated by 36th Street Events took place under the gorgeous clear patio tent with twinkle lights galore! Before guests arrived, Lindsay and her sister planned a surprise first look for their father. Her sister pretended to pin his boutonniere outside, while Lindsay snuck up on him from behind wearing her dress! In these heart stopping photos, her sweet father tears up and the family collapses into a family hug. Then the fun-loving bride and groom took couple’s portraits around the Allan House property and downtown areas, before their Ketubah signing (yes, with more tears!). The ceremony took place outside on the Allan House patio beneath a beautiful clear tent and thousands of white twinkle lights (also seen on their invitation) and giant lit up chandeliers. After their official kiss at the end of the ceremony, the maid of honor and best man fired white flower petal cannons off, and rose petals floated through the air before their recessional. Greenbelt DJ got the dances off to a quick start, complete with a Dirty Dancing lift fake-off (have I mentioned we just love our clients with a sense of humor?!). For their picture perfect exit, Lindsay & Ben opted for fun and colorful glow stick light wands, which make for some super fun photos!

Prospect House Wedding in Dripping Springs, TX :: Nicole & JIm

When we get the opportunity to team up with 36th Street Events for a magical night time winter wedding at one of our favorite modern wedding venues, we get giddy with excitement! Nicole & Jim tied the knot at dusk outdoors at Prospect House with the rain sprinkling down and the heaters blasting away for guests to stay cozy. Ilios‘ enchanting lighting design allowed the couple to exchange vows after dark with a breathtaking dusk view behind them. Tall cylindrical vases filled with romantic candles also lined the steps leading up to the altar. The cocktail hour moved inside with acoustic tunes from The Hard Truth, and beer being circulated by beer burros, while the couple had a private moment alone. The long reception tables were filled with gorgeous white and red blooms, and guests enjoyed a delicious authentic Texas BBQ buffet from The Salt Lick (and let’s not fail to mention their yummy cobbler dessert, too!). The incredible wedding band London Calling got everyone in full swing on the dance floor, and even got Nicole & Jim up on stage for a final song before their bubble exit! Big congrats to the newlyweds, and thank you for having us there to document your gorgeous Prospect House wedding! Mia Bella Vita Houston Wedding Photography :: Sue & Frank

Sometimes what it takes to find the love of your life is the help of your friends and a little twist of fate. This is the story of Frank and Sue. Neither of them lived in the same city but when Sue came down to Austin one night to hang out with her friends, they bumped into an old college buddy who then introduced her Frank. The sparks instantly flew…..for Frank at least. It wasn’t until an unexpected rainstorm and a cancelled concert some time later that they had another opportunity to see each other again. His charm, their shared love for all things food, and their innate ability to bring out the best in each other made it a first date to end all first dates. Three years and three pups later, Frank and Sue made it official and tied the knot in Houston at Mia Bella Vita. Sue and her girls spent some quality time that morning sharing fun stories and gushing over Sue’s flawless makeup. I knew this was going to be a fun party when the bridesmaids skipped out on the traditional champagne and straight for the vodka. When it came time for their first look, you could feel the anticipation the moments before Sue walked up to Frank and tapped him on his shoulder. The smile that swept across his face was a look of pure happiness. That kind of joy radiated through all the guests and it just stayed with us for the rest of the evening. After they exchanged their rings, we walked around the nearby field to do some soft, sunset portraits before returning back to the ballroom for the festivities. That night’s party was filled with dancing, Texas BBQ, and a delicious tower of donuts that was so tempting it barely made it to the cake cutting! I have to admit, the highlight of the evening wasn’t just Sue’s dad’s fantastic dance moves, it was not just one, but TWO over the top toasts from Sue’s bridesmaids. Her first bridesmaid rapped a summary of Frank and Sue’s courtship to the musical stylings of Coolio’s – “Gangster’s Paradise”. Then to everyone’s surprise, her maid of honor brought out a ukulele and performed her own rendition of their love story. The room exploded in applause for these two talented ladies. As for myself, I feel like all toasts have now been ruined for me. The bar has been set too high. I have just experienced the best. Frank and Sue, I’m incredibly happy and thankful to be able to spend this time with you both. The two of you share the kind of love and friendship that most can only dream of one day finding. Congratulations! To sign up for notification when the photos are online and to order prints, CLICK HERE.

Hotel South Congress Austin Wedding by Gia:: Katharine & Jason

Katharine and Jason exchanged vows at the beautiful South Congress Hotel. This hip, Austin gem was the perfect backdrop for this sweet Dallas couple’s modern, brunch wedding. I loved working with the amazing team at Pearl Events. They effortlessly put together the kind of wedding that would make any minimalist’s heart go pitter patter. Jason kept things elegant and simple with a classic navy suit, while Katharine wore a beautiful lace gown from J. Crew and a pair of killer Badgley Mischka heels. I loved how the crystal detailing of the shoes peeked out from the back of Katharine’s dress whenever she took a step! Large, geometric pendants hung from the ceiling as Katharine and Jason stood underneath and shared their “I do’s”.  Afterwards the room was flipped for the reception where the tables were dressed with lovely gold geometric accents and freshly baked pastries. It was such a fun afternoon filled with dancing and endless mimosas! One of my favorite things about their day is that in lieu of a traditional wedding cake, they brought out trays of macaron’s for everyone to share family-style. Their friends, family & of course Green Belt DJ kept the atmosphere fun and lively. There were so many hugs and high-fives that day, you could just feel the love in the air! It was such a joy to spend the day with Katharine and Jason. It’s not often that you get to meet such genuinely kind and down to earth people. To be able to watch the two of them begin their life together is something truly special. Congratulations you guys! I hope you had a wonderful honeymoon out in Napa! To sign up for notification when the photos are online and to order prints, CLICK HERE.
