I’ve been looking forward to Erin and Tom’s upcoming Cinco De Mayo wedding since getting to know them at their Austin Skyline Engagement Session at Butler Park and the Long Center! Dressed in bright and bold colors, with a Mexican party hat ready for their adorable puppy, I could tell instantly that this would be a fun couple! In just a small walk, we were able to get 3 different incredible views of the downtown Austin skyline, including one of my favorite reflections in the windows of the Long Center. We lucked out with the most beautiful moody orange sky for some sunset silhouettes to end the session with a bang! I am eagerly awaiting your wedding day, Erin & Tom!
This Austin, TX based couple was off to India to tie the knot just weeks after this session took place! We used the backdrop of urban downtown Austin, and Ladybird Lake for a creative combo of colorful murals, romantic twinkle lights, and the beautiful water for our backdrops. It was so much fun to wander around town with you two, and witness all the loves, smiles and hugs you have for each other. Congrats you two lovebirds!
With only 4 months to go until their wedding, Jenny & Mike opted for an engagement sessions to get some practice in front of the camera, and to have extra photos of themselves together! They wanted an urban feel to their photos, so we choose the downtown stretch of Congress Avenue down to Lady Bird Lake as the backdrop for their Austin engagement session. Though Mike was admittedly a bit camera shy, I love all the real and relaxed candid moments we were able to capture. And can we talk about how gorgeous Jenny looks (a little help from Nisa Nicole never hurt anyone!)? To say that I am looking forward to their Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center wedding, would be an extreme understatement!!! I can’t wait to see what magic their wedding day holds!
Brad’s detailed proposal plans paid off, because Garrett said YES! Brad started the day by making sure Garrett was wearing a nice outfit for their made up “happy hour” plans right after work. From there, he arranged for his sister to chauffeur Garrett from work to the appointed location of the Austin pedestrian bridge (complete with snacks and flowers in the backseat). With views of the downtown city skyline and gorgeous sunset views, it was a picturesque location that oozed romance! With a single white rose in hand, Brad dropped to one knee and popped the question. Garrett’s friends came out of hiding to hug and give them both congratulations, and passersbys stopped to cheer! We then took some time for some sweet couple’s portraits before the newly engaged couple went off to celebrate! Enjoy these Austin proposal photos :)
Mandie & Greg chose the absolutely gorgeous downtown Austin wedding and event venue Gilfillan House for their engagement session. Beautiful arches, giant live oak trees, crystal chandeliers and restored historic interiors made for the perfect romantic backdrop for this couple’s photos. Since Mandie currently lives out of town and is applying for jobs in Austin, the couple still travels frequently to see each other. You can feel the love and excitement about being reunited in the way they look at each other, and it was a blast to photograph their magnetic affection! And huge thanks to David at Gilfillan House for the stellar hospitality and celebratory champagne! And to Mandie & Greg, I hope you love these photos from your Gilfillan House engagement session for years to come!
