It’s an absolute blast when I get to photograph a couple through their engagement session, bridal portraits and then wedding. By then, we know each other well and the trust is well established, and everyone feels stress free when it’s time for wedding day photos. Erin & her mom Debbie have become very close to my heart, and I love this family so much! Erin’s bluebonnet bridal portraits were a total blast and we got so many amazing images out of just two locations.
The stunning Erin had originally planned on her bridal portraits at a completely different location, but we realized her session was scheduled right in the heart of wildflower and bluebonnet season. So at the last minute, we had a change of plans and shot in some gorgeous South Austin parks that I scouted, then headed over to the always exquisite Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Her Martina Liana dress, her perfect glow by Lipservice XO,and her bright bouquet by Bouquets of Austin were the sprinkles on top of a gorgeous bridal session!
After seeing all the gorgeous images of Erin in their gallery, this mom decided they needed to order two bridal albums stat! Sadly, so many clients let their images live on a USB drive and never actually get to enjoy the photos. With an album especially, it can be put out on the coffee table or book shelf to be enjoyed every day! These flushmount bridal albums are archival heirloom quality. I love that this family chose for an image cover instead of the usual leathers… something a little different!
In the past several years, I’ve steadily moved over to delivering the majority of my images on USB flash drives (or digital download for those that prefer instant gratification!). I’ve been particularly fond of metallic drives in the past, but am loving these new leather USB drives from USB Memory Direct. It’s tough to differentiate yourself through your branding in a town with as much talent as Austin, but I think these do just the trick. I particularly love the stitching, touch of metal and the high-end feel of the leather (don’t worry vegan clients, I still have non-leather alternatives). I only have them in 8gigs now, but clients with smaller weddings will start seeing these in their mailbox soon! YAY!
While I already offer a gorgeous grey/silver leather album material, I am happy to announce that I now offer a brand new GOLD LEATHER option, too! I can’t help it, but I love metallics so much! This material has a little shimmer to it, and really adds a touch of class to your wedding album. This sample album for Pearl Events also features spine imprinting in a modern black font. In fact, a new trend I’ve been noticing among my couples it to do a spine imprint instead of a cover marquee image. Or both! But the imprinting definitely adds an extra touch of personalization. The cover features 3 images from 3 different weddings, but yours could feature three of your favorite images… kinda handy when you just can’t decide on one favorite! :) Each page inside is printed on Kodak’s Supra Endura photo luster paper with UV coating. Panoramic printing of this archival flushmount album means the layout is scored and folded so the image goes right over the middle gutter and you don’t lose any of the image. This is truly an album to last a lifetime!
Anyone who is familiar with my wedding photography has surely heard me say “No more boring wedding photos!”… well, I feel the exact same way about my archival handmade wedding albums! I am particularly smitten with my current album company because of the amazing variety of album cover options, including this stunning orange number! Bright and bold colors help add a little pop to your decor while being displayed on your coffee table, and can be matched to any of your favorite wedding photos. I thought this orange particularly complemented the incredible Austin sunset from this Ma Maison wedding. Instead of having the image burned into a metal marquee, this album features a cover image of lustre photo paper inset into the square imprint. Notice the detail on these thick flushmount pages, and the super sturdy binding. Real luster photo paper is married to the thick black board stock, so this archival album can be passed down through generations! Go bold, my friends!!!
I’m am absolutely loving the latest custom wedding album that came in, and just had to share it with you! This cobalt blue color is one of my favorites right now, and pairs incredibly with the bright, bold and fun wedding colors. The cover image is offset to the bottom right corner, and imprinted directly on a sheet of brushed aluminum. Can’t you just see this beauty sitting on your coffee table, ready to show off to all your friends and family?!
