I’m finally getting around to sharing some images of my favorite Austin families. Honestly, I’m probably just now posting this because I had trouble choosing—I wanted to display all of the beautiful smiles and sweet kiddos on here. These are just a few in no particular order, and there were even more stunning families. It’s always a pleasure to see so many past clients and meet new ones, too. About these family photo sessions

These mini sessions were taken around the old Seaholm Power Plant in downtown Austin, Texas. For those who are unfamiliar, despite the industrial-sounding location, this historic plant sits in a repurposed district on the north shore of sparkling Lady Bird Lake. The combination of fun, modern art and architecture juxtaposed with the industrial plant and vibrant green park make it a stunning place for portraits. The location offers backdrops galore for just about any style our clients are going for. In these photos, you can see that the surroundings are as unique as the families: some chose to pose in front of the greenery for more natural photos, while others opted for funky murals designed with a myriad of shapes, textures, and colors. I love them all and had a blast capturing all of my remarkable friends.

One of my specialties in family photography is capturing the candid moments as they laugh while getting situated or those sweet moments they have with each other in between formal shots. I love capturing those relaxed, personal images.

I know it can be hard to take time out of the busyness for family portraits, but I assure you, it’s more than worth it! When you book a family session, you’re investing in family heirlooms, freezing these special moments in time. You know better than anyone that kids grow up in the blink of an eye.
